A Message From the Principal
Scott Brewer,
Principal
Founded in 1959, Valley View currently serves over 800 students in grades Kindergarten through sixth. The Valley View staff includes 36 certificated and 33 classified personnel. After school care is provided on our campus through the city of Lancaster's Valley View Enrichment program. Our diverse student population is served through several specialized programs including: School Improvement, Title 1 (No Child Left Behind), English Language Learners, GATE, and Special Education. Special Education services include Speech and Language, Resource Specialist Program, three Special Day classes, and two Special Day Classes serving students experiencing extreme emotional and/or behavioral difficulties which are impacting their ability to access the curriculum. All staff and parents have an important role to play in ensuring each child's educational success. Valley View encourages families to become involved. Whether it is volunteering in the classroom, working with the PTA, or serving on School Site council or one of our District committees, there is a place for everyone. Active participation strengthens and enriches our program. Another important component of any successful collaboration is open communication. If anyone has questions or concerns regarding Valley View, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with each child in the 08-09 school year. |
