District English Learner Advisory Committee
2021-22 DELAC Invitation to Attend
Dear Parents and Guardians of EL Students,
Please join us for our 2022-23 DELAC Meetings; a committee where you can connect with other parents in the district, receive up-to-date information about the District’s EL Program, and become part of a growing community dedicated to supporting EL students and building partnerships with their families. We are excited to resume our in-person meetings this year at the Quartz Hill Public Library and look forward to getting reacquainted. The location address, meeting dates, and times are listed here.
Some of the topics we will discuss this year are:
- District's program goals and services for English Learners.
- Procedures used by the District to reclassify English Learners.
- The District's written notifications sent to parents/guardians of English Learners.
- English Learner Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) Development of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
- Training opportunities and Literacy Classes for the parents of EL Students; and ways you can get involved.
- Contact your site Bilingual Assistants for additional questions.
We will be meeting in person for our next DELAC meeting!
