Online enrollment is an easy 2 step process:

Step 1: Complete an online enrollment application (Please click on the link below and create an account to complete your student(s) application. This application is not available in paper form.)

Application for the upcoming 2026-27 school year

Enrollment for the upcoming 26-27 school year will start March 1st, 2026 after 8:00 AM.

Currently enrolled students do not need to complete a new application. Only PK students entering TK/K are required to re-enroll.

Step 2: Submit ALL required documents listed below using our Let’s talk communication tool.

In order to start on the first day of school all enrollment documents must be received by July 25th, 2025.

NOTE: Students currently attending Westside (grades TK through 8th grade) do not need to submit the documents listed below. **Current preschool students need to apply as a new student upon entering TK/K.

Proof of Birth (Required for TK, K, 1st grade, requested for all other grades):
- Birth Certificate, Passport, Baptismal Certificate, Proof of Birth Affidavit
- Hospital Certificate is NOT acceptable

Most recent report card, if enrolling mid-year (Required only for middle school)
Oral Health Assessment / Oral Health Assessment  - Spanish, completed & signed by student's dentist  (Required only for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten & 1st grader, if 1st grader has not attended Kindergarten)
Copy of current IEP or 504, if applicable

Interdistrict Applicants (Grades K–8):

Do not send any documents until you receive an approval email from our district.

If your student has an IEP, please submit a copy of the most recent IEP in order for the transfer application to be reviewed.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Interdistrict Applicants Only:

Please submit all required documents with your application.

Select the Let’s Talk link

Select Enrollment documents or questions under the enrollment category.
Attach all required documents by clicking on the "Add Files" icon located under the description box.
Please DO NOT send documents for multiple students in one Let’s Talk Ticket. Open one ticket per student.

Things to consider after you submit documents:

We will respond to your communication with the status of the application once it has been reviewed.
Please allow 1 to 2 business days for a response.
Students will not be able to start school until all documents have been received and reviewed.

* Note: Students currently enrolled at a school in Westside Union School District at the end of the school year, in TK - 7th grade, do not need to re-enroll.  The only exception is Preschool students who will be starting TK or Kindergarten in the upcoming school year.

We will not contact you after you complete your application. You must turn in documents on Let’s Talk to complete the enrollment process. We will respond to your ticket via email.
Gather ALL required documents listed under step 2 before submitting any documents. Do not send in partial enrollment documents.

Intra-District Transfer Application (Within Westside)

This is for a family that wishes for their child to attend a different school other than what they're either zoned for, or currently attending, within the Westside Union School District. Transfers are received year round.

If you have moved within the Westside boundaries and would like to stay at your current school, please complete an Online Enrollment and Transfer Application for an Intra-District Transfer.

If you are a new student and would like to attend a different Westside school than what you are zoned for, please complete an Online Enrollment and Transfer Application for an Intra-District Transfer.

If you moved out of Westside's boundaries, you will need to apply for an Inter-District Transfer from your home District for the current school year. See the Inter-District Transfer section for more information.

Once a student receives an approved Intradistrict Transfer, that school will then be considered the student's home school. If a student desires to change schools after being granted an Intradistrict Transfer, including returning to his/her school of residence, a new Online Enrollment and Transfer Application must be submitted to the requested school and approved before a student will be allowed to change schools.

If your child is currently on a Transfer either within or to the Westside Union School District, you do not need to reapply as long as you haven't moved.

Currently enrolled students do not need to complete a new application. Only PK students entering TK/K are required to re-enroll.

Upcoming School Year

Principals will review online transfer applications submitted during our Open Enrollment period, March 1 – April 15, in June. Parent/Guardians will be notified by the first week of July on the outcome. Applications received after April 15 through July might not be reviewed by principals until they return from Summer break. Parent/Guardians may not be notified until after the start of the school year. See the Inter-District or Intra-District Transfer sections for more information on applying for a transfer.

Open Enrollment Transfer Requests (March 1 - April 15) - If you are a new student applying for a transfer, you only need to do the online transfer request, enrollment documents are not required with the transfer application.

Inter-District Transfer Application (Outside Westside)

I am living outside of Westside Union District Boundaries
I would like my student to attend a different district (Outside Westside)

I am living outside of Westside Union District Boundaries

This is for a family who resides outside the Westside Union School District boundaries and would like for their child attend a school within the Westside Union School District.

You will need to complete an Online Enrollment and Transfer Application.

Obtain an Inter District Transfer form from the school district where you reside.  Once completed at your District of Residence, ask them to forward to Westside Union School District Office at 41914 50th St. W., Quartz Hill, CA 93536, Attn: Transfers.

You will be contacted with the outcome from the Westside Union School District Office within 30 days of receipt of the Online Transfer Application.

If you moved out of Westside's boundaries, you will need to apply for an Inter-District Transfer from your home District AND complete an Online Enrollment and Transfer Application.  

If you have moved within the Westside boundaries and would like to stay at your current school (which is outside of WUSD boundaries), please apply for an Inter-District Transfer. Please submit an Inter District Transfer form to our district office.

If you are currently on an Inter District Transfer to Westside Union School District and you would like to change schools within Westside, you will only need to complete the Online Enrollment and Transfer Application. 

If your child is currently on a Transfer either within or to the Westside Union School District, you do not need to reapply as long as you haven't moved.

If you would like to apply for an Inter District Transfer out of Westside Union School District:

Complete an Inter District Transfer form and submit it to the Westside Union School District Office.
After your form has been processed it will be sent to the District you are requesting the transfer.

You can drop off or mail your completed form to: 41914 50th St. West, Quartz Hill, CA  93536  Attention: Transfers.  We will review and forward on to your requested district.  

If the reason you are requesting a transfer is employment, please attach proof of employment, either a pay stub or letter from your personnel office showing you work in the school district you are requesting.  If we do not have this document, we cannot process your request until it is received.
