If your child is currently on an Interdistrict Transfer to the Westside Union School District, you do not need to reapply as long as you haven't moved from district in which your transfer is approved. Your student can continue at Westside until they graduate from the 8th grade. Interdistrict transfers can be revoked if the student doesn't maintain satisfactory citizenship and scholarship, has excessive truancy or continual disruption of the educational program.

If you live or have moved out of the district, Interdistrict Transfer applications are obtained from the district in which you reside. Once your transfer application is completed and signed by your district of residence, it needs to be sent or turned into our District Office. Per the Westside Union School District Board Policy, AR 5117, Interdistrict Attendance, transfers are granted based on space availability along with students maintaining satisfactory attendance, grades and citizenship.

Principals will review transfer applications submitted during our Open Enrollment period, March 1 – April 15, in June.  Parent/Guardians will be notified by the first week in July on the outcome. Transfer applications received after April 15 might not be reviewed by principals until after Summer break.  Parent/Guardians may not be notified until after the start of the school year.

If your student is currently on an Interdistrict Transfer to Westside and you would like him/her to attend a different school than what you were originally approved for, please come by the district office and request an Inter/Intra District Transfer Application. This form allows students who are currently on approved interdistrict transfers from another district to choose a different school within the district than what they were approved for on their original transfer application. These forms are only available at the District Office.
