Activity 1: Germ Smart Kids - How To Wash Your Hands Germ Smart Kids - How To Wash Your Hands Here’s a short and amusing video which gives instructions on how to wash your hands thoroughly to keep those pesky germs away! Good for kids ages 1-100. Activity 2: How to tie your shoes - the fast + easy hack to tie your shoes! Sometimes we need a distraction for our younger children. This is a practical activity that your child can practice to build a sense of accomplishment and control. Scroll through the link to locate the video. Day 1: Say the Pledge of Allegiance. Write a list of the naming words (nouns) in the Pledge of Allegiance. Day 2: Use the World Map image to locate the United States and the four oceans. Make a list of the seven continents using capital letters at the beginning of each name (proper noun). Find a place you would like to visit and talk with someone in your family about why you would like to go there. Day 3: Think of a game you play. Make a list of at least three rules for the game that make it fair for everyone who plays. Day 4: Interview a family member at home or by phone. Ask them about their job. What do they do? Why do they like it? Why is it important to the community? Draw a picture of the job that they do. Day 5: Interview a family member at home or by phone. Ask them if they, or another family member, moved to the U.S. from another country? What was it like? How were things alike and different in the U.S. compared to their country? Write and draw about what you learned. |

Day 3: Draw an animal camouflaged in their environment. Share your picture with a family member. Can they find your animal? Day 4: With parents permission, use items from around the house to create different sounds. Compare 2 sounds. Tell a family member which sound is louder? Day 5: Draw a picture of your favorite food. Write a sentence telling why you like it. |
