Hillview Middle School Counseling Program

Counseling Mission

The mission of the Hillview Middle School Counseling Program is to empower all students to reach their fullest potential by providing a comprehensive school counseling program to facilitate their academic, career, social, and emotional development. As guided by the American School Counselor Association National Model, the ultimate objective is to help students identify their interests and abilities, enhance productivity, dependability, and self expression and control. In addition, students are guided to strengthen their decision-making and conflict resolution skills along with other competencies that will lessen student deficits, strengthen their unique capabilities and enable our youth to participate in a global society as responsible citizens.

Meet the Counselor

Welcome to Hillview Middle School Counseling. I am your child’s school counselor and happy to provide my professional  experience for you.
I have served in a school counseling position the past six years for the Westside School District. Prior to that, I was a social studies teacher at Hillview for nineteen years. Through these educational experiences, I have had the opportunity to assist and support students in a variety of ways.  I believe that every child can succeed academically and maintain optimal social-emotional growth with the student, his/her parents and school staff collaborating as a team.  Towards that goal, I am here to support your child in any way possible. In addition, I can connect you and your child with community resources.

Please feel free to contact me should you need any assistance or support.
