School Site Council Elections

We currently have two parent/guardian openings for Valley View School Site Council. School Site Council is the group of indiviudals who examine data and recommend a school improvement plan in establishing a budget consistent with the Education Code and federal Guidelines. School Site Council (SSC) is a requirement for every school in Westside Union School District. Membership includes a broad representation of parents and staff so we can meet the needs of our students. The Council needs to be consitituted to ensure parity between staff and parents. It is a two year term and training is provided. Usually meetings are held once a month in the later part of the afternoon.


Please consider serving on the School Site Council. If you are interested in nominating yourself or know of someone you would like to nominate for School Site Council, please submit the numination form by Tuesday, October 17, 2017. We will then create a ballot and send out to all our parents.
